today is the kick-off with great activities including these highlights:

-food eating contest, 7;30pm
-pig races, 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 9pm (you can watch the piggies at home! click here for the pig-cam)
-the pink floyd experience, 8:15pm at the pacific amphitheatre (limited amount of free terrace seating)
the fair runs from july 16th to august 15th wednesday to sunday.
